Local GM parts counter just called me back on this. With my company discount..$510.00 and $63.00 recalibration charge....No core charge and NO Warranty. He said 10 day wait since so many people in US are doing this to their pick-ups. Canadian price of course. Seems to be very popular change - up. Sport truck Magazine should geta cut of this.

Yeah, that would be about right though when you do US/Can dollar exchange. Now you now why I am not going to Vegas this year. Trading at 62.00us for 100.00can this am. You guys down there should come up here to Vacation 162.00 for your 100.00. My bit for tourism. Not today though.....-28c this mourning in Calgary.

absolutley you should do it , i first did just the trim rings and got the cluster put in today as i wanted a trans gauge to,

so glad i did it they look great in our trucks (no pics yet)

Hey if I can find the time this summer between my ROTC camp and summer school to come up to Canada, I will definately try to make it up there.  I have always wanted to go to Calgary, I have only been to western Canada, so I need to see the rest.  

 

Anyways, I say go for it.  They look great in the trucks.

Do you have to have your mileage recalibrated after doing this mod?

Nope. Just picked up a tag from the dealer, logged miles and date cluster changed out and stuck it on inside of drivers door.

I guess what I am asking is, does the new gauge cluster show the original miles on the truck? Say if, I did this mod, would the new gauge show the mileage that is on my truck now?

Nope, the new gauge cluster will show 0 on miles and hours. What i would do is have the company you are ordering it from put the miles and hours on it when you order it and not drive your truck for a while. Or get them to put like the amount of miles you have now plus like 500 miles so you can drive around while you wait for the gauges. Then when you hit that many miles you can put the gauges in and have the exact milage. That is what i should have done.  ??? I have the Escalade gauges and the mileage started from zero. I am going to send them off and get the right mileage put on. The only problem I have is the airbag light stays on, but that is only on the 1999 style trucks, i think.

Wow...talk about extended warranty.....0 miles, well actually mines read 1,716 so I have 34,284 miles left but only three months.

Okay, Here is the latest greatest information on the Escalade Gauges and where to get them at an affordable price.....I just ordered mine from "Sam Taylor Buick/Cadillac" in Florida. Thier E-mail address is: [email protected]. You can call at 1-877-726-8295 (Toll Free) and ask for "Jason Cromer" he works in the parts department.

 I paid $209.00 For the cluster and $8.00 shipping (US Dollars) and had NO PROBLEMS dealing with them!!! I will do buisness with them in the future. My Wife works for a Chevrolet Dealer and I couldn't cmpare with her discount on parts. Her Price was $227.00!

 Good Luck to all who are doing this mod, it is well worth the money, and is VERY EASY to do. I had a Speedo shop here in Northern California do the mileage/hours transfer for $45.00. My suggestion is to call your local dealer and ask them who to take your vehicle to, to have the speedo calibrated as they will the one's who can, or, will be able to tell you who can do the calibration.      GOOD LUCK

By all means get it calibrated and reset - the BCM has the real mileage in it also - lot less hassle when you sell.
