Idler arm Ok, but need some help Diag this!

Ok in the daylight the idler arm, pitman arm, centerlink, tie rod ends (all) look fine. Shocks are about 10000 miles old. Tires are new, and have just been roated and balanced. Here is what I have, when driving on the interstate if it is windy (doesn't even have to be that windy) the truck goes all over the road. Once the wind is gone it tracks pretty good, but is still a little floaty from one side to another. Passing trucks, and even some cars and light trucks I will get sucked towards them in the other land as I approach and pass them and blown in the other direction once I get passed them. I know the large trucks this is normal, but another silverado will do it to me too. I also have a slight vibration in the right front, at least that is what it feels like. Also when i accel hard on the interstate it will pull to the right or left (never just one side) then straighten out again, but you have the loose steering sensation until you are finished accelerating. It also does this when tapping the brakes to take off the cruise. It has done this for about 20000 miles now, dealer couldn't find anything.

Do you have aftermarket rims?

 

An offset that's other than factory can have weird effects on handling.

 

Of course, so can a broken belt in a tire. Bad tires can cause this too.

Do you have OEM tires or larger tires? Check your tire pressure. I would go back to the pressure on the sticker on the drivers door and adjust accordingly. Also have someone turn steering wheel (engine off) and lay down under the front of truck and watch the idler arm movement it shouldnt move up and down when someone is turning the wheel back & forth.
