Nerf Bars......

Ok so I want some Nerf Bars for my truck.............its a 2002 2500HD (I know there is another forum, this one just sees more action).

 

So, 2002 2500HD 4x4 Ext Cab w/ 8' bed. I want the bars that go from the front all the way back to the rear fender, past the cab, under the bed. Now I do NOT want to pay $400 for some tubes. Really $200 sounds more like it but we'll see. Suggest where? Thanks!

They are called "wheel-to-wheel". Doubt if you'll find anything in the price range you are looking for, especially with an 8' bed and extended cab.

I am looking for nerf bars for my '06 crew cab Z71. I am leaning towards the polished stainless Westin bars (not chromed) because they are reasonably priced around $ 200 plus shipping on eBay.

 

The OEM GM bars are out of the question due to their high price. They are good quality bars made from stainless steel ( black powder coated or chrome plated). Westin too makes comparable bars called the Platinum series, and they are priced just as high ($ 450 and up).

I'd give the ebayer "Yourwheelman." a call: 1-866-NERF-BAR. He sells quite a few bars. I bought my Nasta stainless steels from him last Christmas and am extremely satisfied. I don't think you'll beat his prices for a namebrand nerf bar.

I dont know about the wheel to wheel bars for that price but I did buy my chrome nerf bars for my truck off ebay my friend I was looking for nerf bars and I didnt want to pay that price either so I went on ebay and I picked mine up for 145 shipped. They were at my house in like 4 days. The only problem i had was that they didnt send me the right screws though. It was ok cuz i went to home depot and picked them up for 5 bucks. In the end I had about 250 bucks in my pocket so i couldn't complain. Just check it out and search around. Sometimes you get lucky.

Those Ebay bars are for an excab shortbed, but the price is pretty good. However they won't fit your longbed (as you probably know).

 

The other thing you need to keep in mind, is that in some cases, a tube step/nerf bar for an LD pickup, most likely won't work on an HD pickup.

yeah i know, it was more of a reference post.......i'm contacting them about some for my truck. i thought about searching for used but what i want i think will be impossible to find!

 

so what do ya'll think about some angle iron painted flat black?? i could accent it with some chrome duck tape.......could be something!!

ok so i searched more but i'm having a hard time finding wheel-to-wheel for my truck..........2002 Chevy 2500HD LONG bed. everything is shortbed shortbed shortbed shortbed..........

 

someone point me in the right direction? $700 is out of the question. if i have to i'll get the short bed i suppose but just not be true wheel-to-wheel

Laverne has a really nice set of bars. They're not wheel to wheel but they're stainless and really hold up well. Mine were under $200.00.
