Console Cupholders

Can you add the two cupholders (down by the floor on the tranny hump) to the center conole of a 99 that did not come with them? How about a part number if you can.

Are you talking about the CD holder under the hinged door compartment on the front of the console on an OBS console? If so, Yes. Don't know the part number though. My Yukon has a CD holder and a dual cupholder, you could use one or the other. I use my cupholder.

I believe they moved them there in 2001. My 2000 had the flip down compartment that came down from the dash. In 2001 they moved them to the floor. So if you get a vin from anyone with a 2001 you can check gmpartsdirect or just go to the chevy dealer and tell him you need a 01 cupholder.

My 99 Sub has the cup holders in the back of the console, a dual, it hinges on the pass side and swings out. Always thought the kids would bust it off. Lasted longer than the hinged door on the front of the console.

Yes you can. I did this to my jump seat a few years before I sold it and bought the full center console. It was only like $25 from the dealer, but you have to remove both seats to get the center console up off the floor to bolt it on. Real easy to do and a great time to vaccum all those M&M's that get "lost" under the seats! ;)
