Dash light bulb changing

Does anyone know how to change the light bulb behind the recirculating air button on the a/c controls?

I hope someone has an answer for this. Many of my radio lights are out and almost the whole radio/control lights are out on my dad's suburban. This is a problem w/ GMs. Not sure about the recirculating AC, but I think the lights for the radio buttons are IN the radio head (read: not replaceable).

 

If nothing else, pop of the dash bezel (no hardware - just yank) and take a look at what you can see.

Yup, it's another GM (and other auto makers) Screws the Consumer by trying to save $$$ thing. The bulbs were not designed to be replaced, they are in the circuit board, going to have to practice your steady hand skills with a hot iron, get the new bulbs from Radio shack.

It does involve soldering, but looks doable.

It is doable in that location, and dis-assembly is pretty straight forward. I wish I knew about that web-site a long time ago, would've saved me a lot of trouble.

I'm waiting for all the bulbs to burn out in the radio and then in the climate control center, (almost there in the radio, a few more in the climate control center) then I will replace them all.
