Bilsteins

Just did the online tech support with Off Road Warehouse regarding Bilstein shocks.

He recommended the BE5- 6081 and BE5-6061 which according to the Bilstein web site are for 1500HD and 2500 trucks/suburbans.

The ORW website, if you look for Bilsteins by truck type will give me the numbers BE5-6500-HO and BE5-2905. According to the Bilstein website, the BE5-6500-HO is for a 1500 Suburban and the BE5-2905 is for the rear of a 1500 Silverado.

According to the Bilstein website, my truck should run the BE5-2904 and BE5- 2905.

After reading posts via the search feature here, people with the same 1500 4x4 Silverado are running different numbers.

After I feel that I have you all totally confused, what part number Bilsteins are you running and how is the ride? I don't want my truck to ride like a crate, but I don't want to feel like Jello either?

I know I am confused at this point, I am hoping that someone here isn't! :banghead:

Thanks so much for your help! :D

I would say over the tenneco shocks is is more Solid. Doesnt ride harsh but it doesnt ride like a car. I hated that rode to soft for me. Hope this helps anything else let me know.

I thought you were selling your truck?

If you come down to Indy let me know and you can see for yourself how it drives

I was going to, but a business opportunity has come along and we are going to go with it. The Suburban is sold and I am going to do some maintenance things to my truck and keep driving it for a while. If things go well, this business opportunity will pay off very well in a couple years so I feel it will be worth holding off on a 2500 Suburban right now.

Thanks for the input about the shocks!
