On the first start up of the day, how long do you think you should let your truck run before driving? 1 minute? Thanks!

I let the engine idle for the first 20 seconds, then I use light throttle only for the first few miles, until the temperature gage gets up to about 150.

I usually give it 4-5min. if I'm not in a rush to get anywhere. I'm a firm believer in getting the engine up to temp before driving.

After the pistion slap settles down I let mine warm up for 3 - 5 and then drive it easily until near operating temperature.

150? Does your truck have an aftermarket gauge? The factory gauge on my DXL starts at 160...

Mine starts at 160 as well. I wait 3-5 minutes too. Especially now with the bitter cold weather we've been having here, I think it's best to, at most, double the wait time to 6-10 minutes.
