Anti-lock brakes - recall gone out yet

I have yet to see anything from GM regarding a recall on the anti lock brake issue. Has anyone received a recall? I have one for a fuel tank issue but not for the ABS.

I know the ABS recall was limited to certain states(those with salt issues). I don't know which ones, but we were included here in Ohio.

I got mine about 2 months ago. I haven't got it done yet though. I'm in NH.

If your truck is experiencing the ABS problem........then just take it in. when the dealer checks your VIN, if they happen to say that its not covered, then go to the GM website and email them your dissatrisfaction and let them know that if you get into an accident because of faulty ABS, that you will sue GM. I went through this exact experience and GM paid to have my ABS fixed......

It is only the "salt states", but if you have a problem, they will fix it if it involves the sensors. The tech who checked mine said 95% of the trucks he has seen had no problem, just cleans the sensors and good to go. He cleaned mine, takes about an hour, they are fine.

I think they just sent out another run of recalls. I just got mine in the mail yesterday.

You might want to contact the dealer you got the truck from. They check your VIN.

When you logged in before you got your notice, did you see the recall, or only after you got the notice.

I havn't gotten mine yet, I am having the problem bad, and They will not honor the recall yet for my truck. It just frustrates the hell out of me.

Yes when I logged in on my trucks main page it said you have no recalls on this truck but when I got this recall in the mail I check and now it says that there is a recall on it.

Interesting. I just bought my truck used in the middle of Oct 06 and it has 113,000 miles. I just received the ABS Recall Notice in the Mail and when I got to the dealer, he said the tailgate recall applies. Dropped off the truck last night for them to work on it today. The ABS problem got to the point where it would do it everytime I was coming to a stop. Very Scary in a parking lot too.
