Looking for Advice - Please -

i am looking to purchase a used full size truck and was wondering what people thought of this one.

I know that it has high miles and i was wondering if there are any particular things i should be looking that might be bad? any advice would be very aprecieated.

no way i would buy a used truck that had been driven in snow/salt. Buy a plane ticket to NC and drive a rust free one back home.

Hmmmm.......Looks like a nice truck for the price? I like that color combination! Just take it to a mechanic somewhere else and have it checked out. Fairly high miles for that year, of course my 2003 has 95,000 miles on it right now and I haven't had any problems yet.

 

They might try and sell you an extended warantee for an extra $2-3,000? It's a hard call to make on a vehicle with high mileage, but most of the time it's not worth it? If all you ever need to do is rebuild the tranny for $2,500 - $3,000 then it would be a wash.

 

If it checks out with your mechanic, for that price I would buy it.

I am really only interested in looking locally, not too big on purchaseing out of state, but thanks for the advice.

 

Is there anything i should be concerned about with a 03 with 87k? any known problem spots or things that will need replacing in the next 15k?
