Power Window Help!!

When I pushed my driver side pwr window button, I heard something break . I can hear the motor run, but nothing happens. The window will now fall on its own.

 

I had a similar situation happen on my wife's Grand Voyage a couple of years ago. The van had a cheap plastic track assembly for the pwr windows and it broke.

 

Has anyone else had this happen on their 99+ Silverados? Can I fix it myself? What is the PITA factor for doing it myself? What will the dealer charge to fix?????

Are you saying your window fell into the door?

If so, I think one of the regulator cables snapped.

You'll need a new power window regulator for that.  They cost about $58+shipping from Dal Slabaugh, [email protected]

Thanks Shawn! I went to my local Chevy Dealership and they fixed it. It was the regulator.

This happened to my 99 back in..99

 

 

I was pissed, but it was replaced under warranty and has been ok since.
