Power window motor(FYI)

Check yours out.  As my window rattle tsb was being done the tech noticed my window was not crisp and fast on the up stroke.  He tells me I need a new window motor,  apparently there is an in motor circut breaker that easily flips.  I would have never noticed if he would not have shown me.  This might be a common problem(the tech was talking like it was anyway).  This was done under warranty so they were not jerking me around.

The new motor was redesignd, he thought.

Course you all prolly know this already, but maybe this will save someone a headache and if still in warranty a good chunk of gold.

No we didn't, that's huge. Thanks for sharing.

Dealer, I'm still trying to get the slip yoke TSB done.

Third time back that's it right? I'll be looking for

a check.

Have a great one!

I didn't even know the motor was available by itself.  The parts catalog I have shows it comes with the regulator assembly!

Do you happen to have a receipt or something that shows the motor p/n?

they replaced the regulator only, p/n- 000 015095843

list- 208.42 sell-118.80

total charge- 245.77

Aparently that is what causes the problem, not the motor :)

still worth checking at .75 oz. gold

If they can just get the regulator by it self you should be able to get the motor by it self as well

This has me interested. My windows are getting slower and slower going up. So it's the regulator, not the motor that is bad when the windows get slow?

I'm a little confused.
