Installing a Navigation System

First off, sorry for all the new threads... Not trying to create clutter, but I am doing as much as I can on my truck right now.

Anyway... Tomorrow(well, technically today) I should be recieving my Garmin Roadmate 760 along with a permanent install kit I ordered which basically requires a dock be mounted to the dash with lines for an external antenna and power source, along with the traffic reciever being fed to it.

Anyway, I understand to remove the dash, the steering colum needs to come out. Is it being moved to the extent that I need to disable the airbag? If so, how would I go about disabling the airbag?

Also, is anyone with a service manual(yes, I know I know, I really need to order one) able to scan or somehow send the pictures of dash and headliner removal to me? I figure the wires for the antenna are best run accross the A or B piller, up under the headliner, and out the gromet for the break/bed light.

Any other input would be appreciated greatly.

Its a 96 K1500 extended cab SLE with a drivers side airbag.

Thanks, I'll take pics of the installation for you guys, but as of now here is the kit and traffic reciever:

Here are some pics of the install... Those 3 screw holes were already there when I bought it. The cubby was pretty much usless to me so it now houses slack wire and the traffic unit. I am going to get some sort of cover for the cubby, and a tube to put around the wires to neaten it up a bit. We used the switched radio power supply and put another 3 amp fuse inline(behind the radio, so it is a bitch to get to), and ran the antenna wire through that back light, above the headliner, and down the A piller then along that metal bar under the dash.
