MTX Thunderform in xcab Silverado

I just purchased and installed an MTX Thunderform in my 2003 silverado extra cab, installed an amplifier along with the adaptor for the BOSE system to add an amp to the factory system, and got everything powered up. I did alot of adjusting to the amp and just cannot get a nice, clear sound out of the sub. Just wondering if anyone has replaced the sub (an MTX 4500) with something else and got a better, clearer sound? Or is it the box itself??

I put a Thunderform in my 02 Silverado a couple of months back and I like it rather well. Have you tried adjusting the frequency on the unit itself at all? Which model did you install?
