Hello

This is my first post. I currently own a 2000 Chevy S-10, and previous to that I owned a 1988 Chevy S-10 Blazer. Both are good trucks and I enjoyed driving them. Here are some specs on them:

2000 Chevy S-10 Pickup

-Extended Cab w/ 3rd door

-4.3L V6

-Victory Red (my favorite GM color)

-2-wheel drive

-Power everything, except seat

-Heated mirrors

-Keyless entry

-Pretty much stock, nothing special

1988 Chevy S-10 Blazer

-2.8L V6

-White/Black

-4X4

-Power windows, locks

-3" body lift

-15" American Racing Rims

-33" Tires

I traded the Blazer in on the S-10. The Blazer had ~150,000 miles on it, I will never know exactly how many miles were on it because the odometer did not work all of the time. The S-10 has ~90,000 miles on it, mostly highway. So far, the S-10 has not had many issues. I have replaced the tires and the handle for the third door. I decided to trade the Blazer because it had many problems, like a saging drivers side door. I had to replace an oil pressure sending unit on it after the gasket popped and most of the oil leaked out. All of the weather stripping leaked, so after a rainstorm I would have to sit on a plastic bag while driving. The truck looked great and always started on the first try. 4 wheel drive was always fun in the winter time, and I miss it on the S-10.

Recently, I took the S-10 in for an oil change. The mechanic came back and explained to me that he tryed to grease something in my front end, but could not because the boots had blown out. This might explain the rubbing sound that I hear when I turn right. He also said that he tryed to check the fluid in my differential, but could not because the plug was stripped. Another issue is the belt squeals sometimes. This also happened on the Blazer and on both trucks, I had the belt replaced and it did not help. Something else is the heat sheild on the exhaust system rattles when I begin to accelerate. It can sometimes get annoying, but I am thinking about dual exhaust. Other than those issues, the truck runs and looks great.
