Suspension lift no welding...

I was recently watching Trucks on spike tv and they had a 6in lift from a company where there was no welding and retained the stock torsion bar geometry! Anyone seen that product or no of a similar lift for my 06 x-cab 4x4 1500?

I think there are several that are "no weld" it's the "no cutting" part that gets them.

RCD is a nice no weld lift , reasonabley priced

rough country x series , torsion bars remain in stock location ,100% bolt on , thats what im going with on my 06 ext cab z71, hope it helps Jacks

Does rough country make quality kits... Do they use low guage high grade metal, with good welders(want bad welders, see toys R us bicycles), and well designed parts? Or when you put it on does the entire truck begin to fall to s**t?

 

I'd like to save up enough to at some point get a lift, but their are so many out there. Skyjacker is tempting because they have a supposedly good name behind their products. Also, they seemingly ultimatly cost a lot more than it initially seems. Wheels and tires, lift, gearing, brakes... adds up. And then their is the mileage loss...

They appear to be good, but if/when I lift it I want to know I'm getting the best stuff(for a reasonable price). I have heard some lift kit horror stories, so, I am looking for some first hand info.

rough county is at the top of the game, i ve never herd any one conplain about them , i will be buying one when i get the money

i'd be interested in knowing what you think of the kit when/if you get it installed. it is the ONLY kit i am even considering, the unsightly dropped torsion bars on every other kit is unacceptable no matter how good the quality of parts is.

Yall need to pick up the latest petersons magazine. they've got a big article about 99-06 suspension lifts. they say superlifts kit is the most bang for your buck.

Its strange. In the CJ world skyjacker is known as skycrapper due to overly saggy springs and the rough country is one of the lowest priced kits. My friend put one in and it felt like it; it was incredibly stiff. Maybe the truck kits are better.

This is a very true statement. I am running a Cognito. It was on the more expensive side, but worth it IMO becuase of the beafy construction. It does drop the torsion bars though.
