Spare tire question

Well i recently got some new wheels/tires for my HD. These are 18" rims with 33" tires. For those that have purchased bigger wheels/tires, do you upgrade your spare as well? In the almost 5 years I have owned this truck, I have not touched the spare tire once so I cant seem to bring myself to spend the money to upgrade the spare to the same wheel/tire combo i have on the rest of the truck. I've been thinking about getting rid of the spare altogether. Also, since my truck is now lifted 6", I've been thinking that the stock jack probably wouldnt work any more being that it probably doesnt raise 2 feet. What do others do in this situation? Would you keep the useless spare/jack or get rid of them?

Just make sure if you put a spare on that the outside diameter is the same, rims ans widths don't matter too much, but make sure is a 33" spare, otherwise its of no use.

When I went to 285s I switched the spare also.

As for the Jack even with the stock tires it was useless. What a joke a pop can bottle jack for a fullsize pickup. I carry a 3 ton jack in my toolbox. Handle is removable works great.

Well when i got new wheels/tires, they had different size lugs so that makes my lugwrench useless. The jack wont go high enough so thats useless too. And the spare is around 30" and my tires are 33" so that makes the spare useless as well. Looks like im just going to get rid of it all.

thanks for the suggestions.

BTW, I just found out that my insurance has 24/7 free towing so now i really have no reason to keep it all.
