Increased MPG

Anybody ever try this? Just wondering about mpg gains in Chevy Trucks. I'm going to be trying it this week. I will report my findings. It is a procedure of adding acetone to your fuel for increased mpg. It helps vaporize fuel better for better efficiency. Calls for 3 ozs of pure acetone to 10 gallons of gasoline. I wonder if this will help our piston slap problems? If anyone has heard of, or tried this, please let me know. Interesting. I've read a lot of posts about this process and people are seeing 15-30 percent gains in mpg! Let me know what you guys think.

American Car Manufacturers and others do NOT want you to know. They apparently suffer from unlimited corporate GREED. They may want bad mileage. It seems that way because if they wanted good mileage, we would have excellent mileage. So we get worse fuel, not better. Just look at the SUV mileage situation. They have perhaps encouraged programs such as MythBusters, radio shows and other media that feed on controversy to squash the possible widespread use of acetone in diesel fuel and gasoline. I have consistently turned down being on talk shows or doing magazine articles. The opposition stories are based on single tests to deny the benefits of acetone, xylene and other additives to improve your mileage. They make silly claims of acetone being harmful. At the very least, one would think they would feel shame for blasting a good and noble cause like this one. How do I learn these things? From my readers. From hundreds of letters and calls from people who know better. And from papers such as The Wall Street Journal. I am a very truthful person. I would never publish a false technical statement deliberately. Yet that is the implication they give. Nor would I publish anything I have not verified over and over and over. Plus they give no motive or reason for me to lie. It sure is not for cash. However it is now well known that only pure acetone works, such as from beauty supply stores. A fake test would not use the good stuff but would come from a tainted source.

LOL. Just thought I would put this up here since you mentioned "Mythbusters". Enjoy. It is taken from "Smart Gas Articles", by Louis LaPointe.

Why would you think this might affect piston slap....?

I believe that you will gain the same small fractional gas mileage gain from a good upper cyl lube such as Lucas' fuel treatment and you gain the added benfits of the upper cyl lube.

I use Lucas Fuel Treatment at the rate of 3 ozs per 10 gallons of fuel and have for years in 2 different vehicles for over 200,000 miles.
