Where are the new 2500 Crew cabs?

I see the dealers are finally getting new extended cab 2500HD's but no one in my area seems to have any new crew cabs. Anyone know when they'll be available. Also, how come there is no review out yet on the new 2500's? The other post on here keeps saying "tommorrow" but tommorrow has came and went many times.

The factory started building crew cabs this past week so you should start seeing them at dealers in a few weeks. Mine should be built the week of 3/12.

 

As for the review, I know he's a pretty busy guy but it will probably be up soon

Check http://www.gmbuypower.com I note the 2500/3500 listings just

started showing up on that site as of Thurs........................

Before that they only had the GMT 900 1/2 tons along with the GMT

800s listed.........................geo

They are being built and shipped as we speak. I m waiting for one too. My 07 1500 may be for sale if anyone is interested. (look under the for sale section).

How did you find out the build week? I placed my order for a 2500 CCLB on Dec. 1st and it was accepted by GM on Dec. 21. It has been bumped to status 3400 (Broadcast) as of 2/21/07. However, the dealer said that the Target Production Week field is blank. When did you order yours and is the dealer telling you the 12th or is something printed. Any help would be appreciated as the wait is killing me

Your truck should be built. 3400 is the last event code before the truck is actually built. Here's the codes:

 

1100-Order placed at dealer

1101-Order accepted by GM

2001-Order generated to dealer

2005-Order replaced with GM Prospec order

2050-Order changed

2500-Order sent to production, preferenced

3000-Order accepted by production control

3100-Order available to sequence (now the tpw becomes more stable)

3300-Order selected for production by assembly plant

3400-Order broadcasted for production

3800-Vehicle produced

4150-Vehicled invoiced to dealer

4200-Vehicle shipped

5000-Vehicle delivered to dealer

6000-Vehicle delivered to customer

 

Does your dealer have a website? Many times if their website is linked to GM, when a vehicle that they ordered is built, it will show up in their inventory even if its not on their lot yet. That's how I found mine was built. Then its just a wait of 1-3 weeks (depending on how far they are away from the plant) for it to get shipped to the dealership.

Week of 19 Feb appears to be the correct build week.

Found out from my dealer on Saturday 24 Feb that the truck that I ordered was completed on Thurs 22 Feb.

Truck was ordered back on 19 Dec.

2500HD, Crew Cab, Long bed, Duramax, 4wd, SLT

Just waiting for shipment to the dealer. We'll see how long it takes.

For you guys who have your build dates for the 2500 CCLB models, are they all 4x4 or are any 4x2?

I ordered a 2500 CCLB 4x2, Blue Granite Mettalic LTZ

Z71 susspension

PDF tailgate package

UO1 roof lights

A48 power rear window

GT4 3:73 gears

TP2 auxillary battery

JL1 integral brake controller

RAE cargo management system

U2K XM Radio

KW1 160 amp allternator

 

Dealer to install Line-X liner and Bed extender

 

Order placed to factory on 02/09/07 (event code 1000) accepted by GM on 02/13/07 (code 2000) on 02/13/07 23:38 hours given event code 2500 on 02/14/07 23:34 hours given event code 3000.

 

Just trying to get any idea on how production on different models may be going.

 

Can't wait for this to be built. (hopeing for less than 10 to 12 weeks the dealer guessed)
