Just wanted to inform everyone of an option. Not sure if it had been posted before. I purchased the buttons which has the connector on back of course for $18 and cut out the rectangle for the buttons connected the harness. All set got $18 for the dealer.

I've seen elsewhere that the WT trim does not have the cable behind the dash panel. Anyone know if this works for a 2012 2500WT? It seems to me like there would be one wiring harness for all trim levels.

Just check for the cable. Can't miss the wire not connected to anything. I had it in my 2010 1500w/t

If you are able to cut a small hole approximately 5/8" X 2 3/4" (measure to be sure), you can order just the switch and modify your existing panel. $25 vs. $80? No doubt what I did.

See post #532 for detailed instructions, if you're interested in doing it this way.

I have never heard of anyone not having the cable.

Did anyone try to do this on a 2008 Tahoe LT? I know the DIC is placed on the other side of the wheel, but I suspect the harness might be the there as well?

Dragging up an ancient thread but I FINALLY got around to ordering the kit for my 2009 Sierra. Don't know why I waited so long! Thanks to DADDY for posting this 6 years ago!

This thread is SO old, he's bound to be GranDaddy by now!

Sure has affected a lot of us, though. Thanks, O Great One!
