Signal Processor To Add Amp To Factory Bose?

Recommended Posts

I have been researching signal processors like Rockford Fosgate's 3SIXTY.2 and Alpine's upcomming PXE-H650. Seems like the way to go for those of us who want to swap out the Bose speakers for aftermarket components powered by an aftermarket amp...while keeping the factory HU.

Anbody have any experience using one of these with the factory Bose system??

BTW, I have an '07 NBS Sierra with premium Bose (Front: 2 tweeters, 1 center, 2 door speakers Back: 2 door speakers...and a sub somewhere....I think in the center console).

the factory system is ok, there is a 6 inch sub in the console, and the bose speakers arent the best things out there, look on jl audio 's website and look at the stealth box. i just put it in mine along with replacing all the speakers with jl audio, alpine amps, and alpine iva w205, this system cranks! i definately recommend upgrading the factory sound!!!

Keeping the bose head unit can be rather rough, due to most of the bose "signal processing" is done in the factory amp. But, you can get away with hit...but most likely you will not like the result.

I always...ALWAYS recommend just going and head and getting an aftermarket head unit....even a cheap $100 deck will be tons better then the bose.

But if you must...the JL Audio Cleansweep is an option, though expensive. Also look into AudioControl.
