7.4l Iac Vs 5.7l Iac

I have a 5.7 Vortec engine (383 Stroker) and I would like to know if the IAC from the 7.4 is any different. My IAC is adjusted full open and I still need more air to balance out the idle. My thought was to install the 7.4 IAC if it was larger or would allow more air to pass and if it would fit the 5.7 throttle body.

Wont work its different internally. Just start drilling a hole little by little larger in the throttle blade there may be a hole already and check the min air should be 15-30 counts when hot.

15-30 counts? I am not familiar with what that means. Also, we have adjusted the blade with the screw on the cable connection, would that accomplish the same thing or is that also messing with the TPS at the same time? When we adjust it any further open the motor really starts seeking for the idle.

Your going to need a scanner to read real time data and then drill a larger hole until you get ot 15 to 30 counts only drill in very small increments so as not to go too big. Also set your idle stop back where it was from factory for a starting point.
