Strange Issue With Aux Input & Zune

Hey guys, I recently got my mp3 player setup all finished in my new truck. Here's a couple of pics of what I have:

Zune MP3 player, which is connected to the Zune dock that is then plugged into power and the AUX input jack on the front of the head unit.

The issue I have is this: Only when the engine is on, and when I have the Zune dock or the Zune itself plugged in to power, there is a high pitched whine/hiss from the stereo. If I mute the stereo it goes away. If I shut off the engine it goes away. And if I unplug the dock/player from power, it goes away. What is also odd is that this whine's pitch goes higher as I accelerate so there is this weird audio feedback of what I'm doing with the gas peddle. Now, this isnt really a huge problem because the music usually drowns out the sound, but I can hear it in quieter songs and in between songs. Could this be a problem with the cable I'm using, or the stereo itself? I'm using a typical 3.5mm headphone jack male-male cable, but maybe there is something else better insulated to block out this noise? I'm not sure, which is why I ask. Thanks ahead of time for anyone who can give me a hand with this.

Zune is picking up a ground from the jack and a ground from the power unit,

I have solve these, sometimes by lifting the ground connect on the shield to the audio jack

elimitates the loop.

experience from installing amps for 27 years :banghead:

DJ , musician, ... you run into this over the years

you could alos use a Ground Loop Isolator between the radio and the Zune

You can also just buy a Ground Loop Isolator online or at many electronics stores, such as Radio Shack. Just google it, you should find quite a few options.
