Does any body have the part numbers for the new covers from GM?

I do. I'll get them listed.

Rich,

Do you have any indication when these may come out of backorder?

Nope. :jester:

Don't hold your breath waiting for them either! :nono:

I figured as much. Since my dealer wants to get the repair order written up for warranty purposes, I don't think he is too optomistic these are coming anytime soon. I honestly would not be surprised if we are waiting around still this time next year.

Leave it to GM to take about 2 years to come up with a fix and then probibly another year or two to actually get the parts out. =)

Thanks MS3DALE for the part numbers. Do you know if these are the same part numbers for these seats prior to the TSB coming out? I don't want the same seat cover I have now.

Remember,Those numbers are for trucks equipped with Ebony Cloth Seats (RPO 19C and 19D)

What's the diff in the C & D?

The "D" trim code seems to be the split bench material.

The "C" trim code seems to be the bucket seat material.

If you guys want to check your RPO codes and see what you got this would confirm it or not (IE-If you have the bench seat you should have the "D" code,If you have buckets you should have the "C" code)

I have bucket seats and have the "C" code.

I just talked to my dealer and he didn't even know about it. So he called me back and yes it on TSB and he told me to bring the truck in for a manager to see and decide if it's excessive. I'll take my in tomorrow and show him the lint ball that i'd collect them. And then if he decide it's excessive, they will order the parts and it'll take two day he said to complete. Will see

My dealer ordered the parts once I notified him of the TSB. They did not need to see my truck. It should not matter to the dealer, as they are getting paid no matter what.

Yes sir, it didn't take him 1min before he decided that i need replacement. Replacement is on order and he'll call when they are in and it would take him 2days replace the whole crew cap.

Hello everyone.

I've read somewhere that GMT-900s built on or after 1st October 2008 already have the new seat fabric. Can anyone confirm this?

They are "suppose to" have the new covers,I haven't been able to confirm this or not.

I need to go look at some trucks on our lot when I get a minute.

Well.......I just went out and looked at quite a few trucks on the lot....They sure as hell look and feel like the same covers I already have in my truck (IE-They don't look or feel any different) :jester:

Does anybody know the cost difference between the new covers and leather covers. Would GM replace with leather covers if I pay the difference?

I've been wondering the same thing. I'd be willing to ante up some cash if it isn't an insanely huge difference cost-wise.

If somebody could tell me were to get the part numbers for cloth and leather I could add up the cost myself. MS#DALE has already given the part numbers for the new covers now I need to get the price for those.

MS#DALE would GM intertain the thought of this or we barking up the wrong tree?

Rich,

Are the GMT900 Tahoes included in this TSB? My neighbor has one with the dark cloth and he owns an Alaskan Malamute.

Yep,There involved.

There the last group of numbers on the list.
