Tsb On Ebony Seat

Took the TSB to the dealer on Wed after I read the forum. It was already in their system, however, they told me I needed to make an appointment so they can take a look at the codes on the truck before ordering anything. We will see what happens on Mon. I have the front GM seat covers on so there is no lint problem there, the rear seats are a different story. Now lets say they don't want to do anything about it, do I need to call the area service manager or go to another dealer?

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that everything goes smoothly...more to come

Sounds like your dealer may possibly be starting the run around with you. You should not have to bring your truck in to check the codes. They should be able to run your VIN in their computer to do that. If you have the seats that are impacted by this TSB, they should fix it no questions. Raise hell if they refuse.

I know an owner of a Chevy dealer, I'll see if he has seen the replacements before I decide to have them replace mine. I'm so tired of the husky hair. :thumbs:

Just got an email from my dealer. Said he placed the order on the parts, and that they are backordered with no timeline on when they will get them. He wants me to stop buy so that he can get a repair order written up for warranty purposes. Does not sound like I am getting these anytime soon.

So from what i understand there is no replacement for the bench style seating yet? I have the split bench with the three cup holder fold down center console. I believe that is the step up from the work truck???

 

Any info would be great.

What you describe sounds like my interior, which is the LT1 in the 2008 Silverado: 40-20-40 split bench seats, with the middle having a lockable storage bin under the seat, and the backrest folds down with 3 cup holders and storage within. I believe the WT interior with the 40-20-40 split bench does not have the storage under the seat nor the backrest, and only had 2 cup holders.

 

This is the interior set up with no “fixes” under the current Tsb….

 

Someone correct me if I’m wrong.

 

Good luck to all, I can’t wait to see some pictures of the new interior once it is replaced!!

The TSB is for trucks with either bucket seats,or "full-feature" split bench seating.

The RPO codes would be either A95 (buckets) or AZ3 (bench)

If you have RPO code "AZ3" this TSB applies to your truck.
