Ss Front Bumper

I had a little boo boo this weekend and need a new front bumper assembly for my 2007 1500 Classic. The dealership wants close to $1000 for the upper, middle, and lower front bumper assembly. Since I have to replace it, I was thinking of putting on the SS front bumper, as it is surprisingly cheaper than the regular bumper. Has Anyone done this swap? What parts do I need.... SS front bumper, rebar behind the bumper? will the mounting brackets be the same for the two bumpers? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

i purchased one for my 01. It turned out to be a bumper cover that used double sided tape and some rivets. It actually attaches to the old bumper. I think i paid $350 for the bumper cover...i also had a little boo boo on the bumper so i had to do some custom hammer work to get it back in place before putting the cover on...

You may wanna research tha a lil but more. The Street Scene cover is about $350, uses the double sided tape and 4 screws. Thats what I have in mine. Youll only need a clean factory front bumper withOUT the lower valence. If you are talking about using the factory Silverado SS setup, its gonna cost ALOT more than $1000 even before paint. Yer looking at a new bumper setup, all kinds of brackets, the cover, and the air ducts, each duct is separate. If you dont have a connection, depending on where you get the parts, assuming you get brand new, yer looking at $1200 to $1500 before paint. Another thing is, the SSS's have side cladding, so the width of the front bumper is more even with the cladding than the truck, its a small difference, but a difference none the less. If you want the look, get you a used, relatively straight factory bumper, no lower valence, and get the Street Scene cover, and use it. Easy to install and alot cheaper, and the width follows the lines of the truck better since you dont have the cladding. If you want more pics, leme know. I have many.
