I got new DRLs, new oil, AC Delco oil filter, and seafoam today. I had my brother rev it up to 1700 rpms and sprayed it in while it was ru n ning the whole time. It smoked like seen on youtube, but it wasnt a huge amount like someone doing a 15 minute burnout li ke some ive seen on youtube lol. It was a 5 foot cloud out the back, but it blew out a decent amout of stuff so Im sold. I have my oil draining as im typing this, so Ill take it for a run when im done, and see how she performs with the decarbonization.

the 'improvements' will largely depend on upkeep and condition of the motor to begin with .. one that has been neglected for a while ... and has a lot of build up .. will see more 'gain' from it then one that had regular oil changes and ran a decent gas through it .. etc etc

It was a humungous improvement....It runs soooo well now, like a brand new truck. It roasts the tires off without trying now, and it eliminated bogging at load under low rpm. Runs like a champ now throughout all the power, and runs awesome on the highway, doesnt need to downshift, will stay in overdrive and gain.

Its been back up to what it should be, but I dont know which actually made the improvement, I did new air filter, new fuel filter, new oil, new oil filter, sea foam, plugs, and wires, and they all together helped out I guess, I get around 14 city now, which is perfectly fine for me, and its bouncing from 15-17 highway, which is more then fine. I get 15 if I run 85 on the highway, and I get 17 running about 65.

It also runs like brand new with the seafoam as far as performing, and I can roast the tires without even trying now. So much for making the Firestones last long haha, well now I guess I will be able to get Revos faster then I wanted to get them!!

There was 101600 on the clock, I did it through the Intake, and it made a good difference. It didnt smoke like some on youtube, It was a mild dual cloud out the back, maybe 4-5 feet long, 2 feet high, the ones on youtube ive seen are like smoking out a whole town lol, but they do it through the vacuum lines, but im sold though on seafoam. Im not sure if I need a tune anymore, because it doesnt really have a severe abuse mode in the computer, it will spin them off the line when I punch it, and it doesnt have any delayed downshifts, but maybe ill spend the money to see if I can squeeze a better 1/4 time out of it and maybe .5 mpg or so.

Pardon the ignorance, I know Seafoam is a stabilizer, but what does it do for our trucks? Is there a simple way to use it if it helps the engine?

i did 3 of our cars today with it .. well with deep creep ... (seafoam in an aresol can) ... went through the vac line to the brake booster on each car ...

Its a decarbonizer, removes most of the carbon within the motor.

Does anyone have a link or instructions on how to do this? Is it pretty easy to do for someone who doesn't spend much time under the hood?
