What is your top speed on your NBS truck?

Mine only goes 92 mph and stops right there. (08 GMC Sierra, 5.3L)

My previous GMC would go to 98. Thought they all went 98, a Toyota smoked me today.

Was it a tundra? My V-Max top speed is 95mph and it wont go past that, the good thing is soon I will tune it and eliminate most the torque management and the speed limiter. My 2006 5.3 Silverado top speed was 105 mph. Just tune if you want to eliminate the speed limiter.

My 07 nbs deirra tops at what looks like 99...and feels very stable compared to my 05 siverado at the same speed. I catch myself going about 90 on the expressway way to often, lol. My 05 crew is tuned to i think 130 but the highest i have had it was about 118.At that speed in that truck my eyes are not on the speedo, lol. Oh and they both have the 5.3L with 3.73's

Not sure what the top speed is on mine, maybe 98? But on a recent trip on a 2-lane highway where I had to pass 2 semis at a time a couple of times my GPS recorded my top speed at 96.7 mph. The L76 with 4.10s had no problem getting there either. :(

Nope, no V Max. Just climbing a fairly sized hill, 5-8 mile distance, and once I hit 92 he kept going and going. Before that I felt confortable with the situation.

Come on people..............we are driving trucks.....after all.

You guys doing the 90mph+ are just waiting for somehting bad to happen.......just wait till you have a blow out at that speed..........been there, done that, will never do that again in my exisitng truck.......the truck that I had the blow out on was slightly wrote off after it rolled a few times.

Now if you are on a track and your truck is set up properly thats a different story.......im talkling about going that fast in factory trucks.

Keep the rubber side down....... :(

99 in my Sierra Denali, waiting on getting a tune to get rid of the speedo cap, also I have speed rated tires so blow outs won't be a problem.

Just because one has speed rated tires does not mean you will not have a blow out at higher speeds. No matter what kind of a tire it is, higher speeds put more strain on tires, more strains means more likely to blow should you hit a nail or something else..

Life is all about calculated risks. Having high speed rated tired significantly reduces the likely hood of a blowout. Yeah he could run over a nail and kill himself. He could also get hit by a bus tomorrow. Does that mean he shouldn't cross the street? Life is worth enjoying!!! As long as you are not putting somebody else at rick, have a ball :sigh:

For the record, 99 in my Denali but I've got EFILive and a tune showing up next week that should give me at least 111mph....which is what my tires are rated to :D

My limiter is set to 150 now. This truck is no where near as stable at high speeds as my 04 was. I had the 04 up to 125 or so and it was still pulling strong and smooth. But my NBS 07 at that speed feels and sounds like it is going to explode. Only thing I can figure is that the new one sits way higher than the 04. Both trucks 5.3's and 3.42's. The 04 was an ext cab with 20's as well.

fastest ive been is 160km/h...so i think thats about 99mph in my 5.3 silverado. got 4.10 or 4.11 in the rear, cant remember exactly

Don't they use fully boxed frames in NBS 900GMT's? That may have something to do with a crappy high speed ride. And maybe the tinfoil sheet metal too.
