Stainless Steel Exhaust Tip Care

Back on December 16th I got my exhaust done and have dual exit 45'd degre Magnaflow rolled edge SS tips. I have not yet done anything to clean then or maintain them and its been a little over a month, so am I pushing the limit? or will they be like my nerf bars and be ok. Any suggestions on a polish to use to make them gleam well? same goes for my wheels and nerf bars. Thanks

They should last a very long time. Mothers or Meguiars all metal polish will work great to keep them looking new. That'll make them nice and shiny and unlike other cleaners, will also protect them to keep them shinier, longer.

Thanks for the reply. I've always been a fan of Meguiars stuff. Will it be ok for me to go till April or so without cleaning? or will that be bad? Winters are really harsh over here so yeah wanting to make sure of things. The tips are always covered with crud so lol

They will polish up after winter... no problem. Stainless is very forgiving. Mothers works well.

Yeah, you'll be fine. It may be a bit harder to get that exhaust off of the tips after it's been awhile, but after they're clean, you're good to go. And when you do have good enough weather to stay on top of it, they clean up very easy.
