Dash Lights Don't Work

I have an '01 Sierra and some of the dash lights are starting to go out.

 

The ones that don't work now are:

-All 4 buttons under the 3 HVAC knobs

-Half of the backlit HVAC panel (The 2 on the left side, 2 on right are ok)

-The backlit section of the dash light dimmer

-The backlit section of the Cargo Lamp button

-Neither of the driver & passenger window switches are backlit (should they be?)

 

After looking at the bulbs in the HVAC panel, it looks like they are LED's that are soldered in, and are not replaceable.

Do I seriously have to replace the whole cluster, and not just the bulbs?

Should the window controls be backlit? I haven't taken it apart yet, and was wondering if it was worth my time.

 

 

PLEASE!!!!!! Somebody help me. I don't want to take this to the dealer for some stupid lights not working.

what are talking about the cluster for? the hvac control head has to replaced ,unsure of window switches,sounds like alot of bulbs out to me

By cluster, I mean the HVAC unit. That whole thing has to be replaced just for some simple light bulbs? How much do these run? I don't think it's "just a bunch of light bulbs" because every part that doesn't light up has the same weird LED's soldered into the circuit board.

 

How are the 4 buttons under the 3 HVAC knobs lit up? I couldn't find any bulbs at all for those.

the cluster does not have to replaced ,only the hvac control head,when the trim comes off you will see what I mean and the switches for the windows

How much is the HVAC control head? Does this piece also run the backlights for the 4 buttons under the HVAC controls? I took all that apart and I can't find any bulbs anywhere that would light up the 4 buttons underneath the HVAC controls.

 

How is the dimmer control backlit? The headlight control knob lights up, but not the dimmer anymore.

 

How is the Cargo Lamp Button backlit? The fog light switch is backlit, but not the cargo lamp button which is right above it.

 

Are my window switches backlit? My brother has an '04 Silverado, and his are...

 

 

 

My fog lights at the moment do not work. Do they have an indicator light like all of the rest of the buttons on the dash board do? The cargo lamp button does, the 4 buttons under the HVAC controls do...

Does anyone know how all of the above mentioned things are backlit?

 

I guess I'll have to take it to the dealer, I'm not seeming to get much help here....
