Do different waxes work better with certain colors? I have a black truck, so just wondering if there's a better wax for black?

I used Zaino for awhile then about 2-3 yrs ago switched to Poorboys. Great stuff very easy to use.

I am using P21s right now, I was using zanio and swore by it on my midnight blue truck, but the p21s system for my on a black truck makes it look deeper and wetter than the zanio. Mind ya the zanio is a awesome wax but makes black look odd, it doesn't have the depth a good ( not autozone or walmart) carnuba has.

I use Eagle One Nano Wax, it would make my previous SUV, a black Tahoe, shine like the day off the lot and helps with swirl marks from the owner before me. As the saying goes of standing a ruler on it and seeing how far up the ruler you could see in the reflection, I would see near the 10 inch mark. Its a great product, and then just use the spray on in between full waxes.

No such thing as the 'best' wax. :D Everybody has a different preference as to what they like. I've seen lots of pics of all sorts of waxes and they all look shiny!

Otherwise, you might be better off checking the car care section though and search around there.

Zaino is my pick! Zaino This is usually an all day event for me, but the results are absolutely amazing.

Meguiars Liquid NXT Tech Wax. I love that stuff. It is easy to apply and it buffs of extremely easily.

I use it as well and have been happy

ditto that! Personally, I use Astro Shield on our vehicles and boat as it's the best thing I've ever used plus, you can't beat it's guarantee-

UNCONDITIONAL GUARANTEE: We want you to be pleased with the results you get with Astro Shield or you may return unused portion for MONEY BACK REFUND within 3 years of purchase. Astro Shield must be accompanied by sales slip.

that is some expensive stuff

Astro Shield? I usually buy it by the 1/2 case, 6 cans for $60. I have a couple of friends that use it also so we split the cost. The way I see it is a paint job is a lot more expensive than a real good polish/glaze to protect the paint.

If you gt a chance, take a look at the "I really do own" thread I started. You can see a picture of my 93 GMC and how well the paint still looks after 15 years.
