What Kind Of Tire Pressure Are You Running?

Right now I have my 305/55/20 Pro-Comps @ 35psi. Its probably a good range to have it at, but I know sometimes people with a lower profile tire run higher pressures, and I was wondering what pressures you guys are running with bigger tires,

 

(33s, 35s, 37s?)

 

Right now my tires have a nearly flat contact patch with the road. (12" wide on a 8.5" rim) But since it does have an 8.5" rim its a little rounded off and the centers are going to wear a little faster then the edges. If I deflated the tires some it would sit a little flatter Im sure, but I would lose MPG for sure among other things.

I've got my load range E 265/75R16 Mickey Thompson MTZ's at 58psi in the front, and 55 in the rear.

E range on a 1500 yeah? interesting. I bet you dont have much of a contact patch there? It prolly coasts pretty good, I know that even when I had my stockers on this truck would coast for like a 1/4 mile on a dead flat now it doesnt!

 

Did you notice any difference between in MPG with the E range and the extra PSI?

 

I guess I should specify that my tires are "D" rated load range, incase anyone wouldnt assume so.

275-55-20s running 37psi. Anything lower and the damn TPMS sets off a light when they are cold. Ride and wear are good so far.

25 psi in my 36 x 13.50 x 16 swamper iroks. running low pressure cause im only on 8in wide rims for now and dont want the centers to wear to fast. at least the ride is soft!

2008 Crew Cab with 20 inch wheels (I don't know the tire size, but they are fairly low profile) I am running them at 40 psi . They do lose air after about 2 weeks, and drop to around 37 psi, so I have to keep an eye on them.

I have the stock 275/55 R20 Goodyears, and I run 30 PSI all around. Only time I increased the PSI was when I hauled a 6000lb trailer over 1400 miles. The rear tires had to have an additional 5 PSI in them to not run low with the load I was towing.

The only reason I have the load range E, is because it's the only option for the 265 MTZs. I didn't notice any drop in gas mileage, even though they're a really aggressive tire.

I might lower my pressure down a few PSI and see if it flattens out the tire some. Like I said the contact patch is fairly flat, but could be a tad flatter maybe Ill try it and see what happens. I would rather pay a little more for gas every time then 1300 for tires.
