Hi fellas. I'm from the Detroit area, but I'm workin in Iraq right now as a civilian HVAC wrench. I've been a lurker for a while but I figured I should join so I can post, too. Working on all these HMMWV's is making me think of my Silverado back home. Thanks for everyone posting here. Its making the time go by faster.

Welcome to the insanity. I almost didn't even look since it said from Iraq, but I know a few of the members are over there serving our country. Again welcome. :thumbs:

welcome. See what you can do about the oil prices while you are there :D

 

You tend to loose track with reality when you spend enough time here. When I need fuel, I pull up to the fuel point and sign a sheet with my truck number. I laborer pumps 40 some gallons of "Mogas" (?thats what the Army calls it) into my Chevy dualie cable truck then I pull away. Are you tellin' me that you actually have to pay for your fuel?
