Yellow Warning Light

I have a1999 GMC sieraa 2500. A yellow warning light just came on with a picture of the engine. Anyone know what this means as the manual doesnt have it in it? is it emissions?

According to my owners manual that's the "service engine soon" warning for vehicles in Canada....

This could be any number of things. The best thing to do is take it to someone that can read the engine's codes to see what is listed there.

thanks for the reply. The truck does have the diagnostic computer thats supposed to display text stating "service engine" also, but that isnt doing anything, but i'll get it checked out.
