Sierra 5.3 Procharged

Hi, ive recently just got the D-1SC Procharger for the 2008 5.3 Gmc, it hasnt been installed yet. I was recommened to get lower compression pistons in order to be able to run it safely since the minimum boost is at 12 PSI, so that being done i was just wondering if I need to install or replace any other part in order to have a safe and reliable machine.

Here's a list of whats installed/to be installed

Installed: Full System exhaust

AirFilter Intake

To be installed: D-1SC

Lower compression pistons

Head Combustion chamber (Replaced)

Blower Cam

I was told i should be running in the range of ~570 rwhp, atleast i hope so i guess :idiot:

Thanks for any input. :nono:

570?? Might be aiming a little high...but it should give you a nice kick in the pants. Good luck with it!!! A lot of work ahead of ya. No warranty after this mod, but at least it'll kick some a$$

I guess only a dyno run can settle this :idiot:

That's awesome! Can't wait to see it in action! :idiot:

No no no. For a procharger, this is the emotion you need. shiftnburn-1.gif

ha ha, I was thinking about that one when I selected the other emotion.

Don't think this forum has that one. I have it in my photobucket. I stole it from Darkanion. :nono:

12PSI on a stock motor? i am praying you will have an intercooler in there

12psi on a factory 345hp motor...wouldnt suprise me if you hit the 500mark with a good tune, and quite possibly more

What heads are you going with? Check out the articles listed in my thread http://www.gm-trucks.com/forums/index.php?...ic=80747&hl=

Lots of good stuff in these articles.

Yup a stock motor and yah it comes along with an intercooler,

Though I dont think ill be installing the pistons and heads, and will probably go with a tranny to handle the power (a fellow member suggested that),,Since the stock engine should be able to handle the 12 psi for a good time, saved me a couple thousand $$$ from purchasing parts that i dont really need :idiot:
