Chevy Model Year End Event

Update:

MusicMan is right. The total rebate on the Silverado Crew (and the Avalanche) is only 5K. I stopped by a local Chevy dealer tonight and they ran a report that showed the incentives totaled 5K not 7. Sorry for the misinformation, but I only have a few posts so what can you expect. :D

I still think Chevy's incentive page is confusing. Why do they even point out that Chevy Customer cash is 2000 and then show Purchase Cash as 5000. With the words "plus" and "combine" thrown in there. I guess that's what they call marketing.

Anyway, sorry again for any confusion. I'll go back to lurking now.

I noticed that Chevy has a Model Year End Event going on that adds an additional 2K rebate to the existing 5K rebate on a Silverado Crew Cab. Does GMC usually follow suit on these? I'm in the market for a Sierra Crew and the extra 2K will push me past the tipping point.

If not I may be going with an Avalanche LS. I'm having a hard time picking between the two, but the Avalanche also has extra 2K in rebates.

I'll just be here hitting the refresh button on the GMC incentives page... :)

Interesting, we still have the 0% for 72 months

The total rebate on a Silverado Crew is $5k, which includes the "$2k bonus cash". Same as GMC.

Even if I wanted to trade my 07 in I'd still be $5k short with the rebate.

Its cool man, I get confused with the Dealer World releases myself.

Yup... marketing IS confusing, but there's probably some purpose for the $2k/$3k split... maybe for non-public incentives (GM employee, etc)?

Yeah, you either get a total of $5k or 0% for 72 months. But it would have to be a lot more than that to off-set the loss in a trade. And based on what I've been seeing on the dealer lots around here, they probably will have to add a bit more to the incentives if they want to make room for the '09's.
