Hi there folks,

 

I'm new to the forum here and thought I would post a quick hello.

 

My truck right now is my 1997 Tahoe LT. Bought her new off the lot at the end of '96.

She'll pretty much all stock except for the bug deflector and does the job of being my daily driver, family taxi, doing pretty much anything I've asked her to do.

 

Though the time arrived where I've needed to make a deal to trade her in on a car (2009 Cobalt factory order) for the wife. :dunno: The wife doesn't want to drive anything so large as the Tahoe.

 

 

But it's not like I'm going to be going without a truck! That's not going to happen and I have to make sure my daughter is raised right around around GM trucks. :lol:

 

So I've got a 2009 Tahoe LTZ on factory order. With the 5.3 rather than the 6.2 as I don't do any heavy towing (long story).

 

When I asked the sales guy on Saturday he couldn't give me any details on the status of the Tahoe, even though it's been three weeks since it had been ordered. But he said that it should be here by September or if lucky, the end of August.

 

After she arrives I'm definitely going to get a tune done after the break in period and I am bouncing the ideas around of a GMPP CAI (I like the look of it) and either a GMPP touring exhaust or a Corsa touring.

Yep, I've tried to look after her well. She's treated me well so I treat her well.

 

It will be a sad day when I have to leave her at the dealership when the wife's car comes in. :jester:

 

For sure, once the new truck arrives I'll be getting pictures to show. :D I want to be there when she arrives on the carrier.

Welcome! your old rig is sweet, but enjoy the new one! you are rquired by forum law to post pictures within 24 hours of delivery. the sooner, the better! :jester:
