I'm looking for the codes to tell me what trans and t-case I've got in my 99 OBS Suburban. It's got the auto 4WD t-case.

Probably the easiest thing to do would be to open the glove compartment and record the RPO codes listed and then visit a website such as http://www.c2e.info/rpocodes/ to see what options came on your vehicle. The transmission code should start w/ an M, not sure about the transfer case.

Thanks. There are hundreds of codes to look up, just wasn't sure of which were the trans codes and etc. The tag on the t-case says, NP246, and I'm pretty sure the trans is a 4L60E.

The tag that is in the glove box shouldn't be hundreds of codes....

No, the tag only has 79 codes on it. The list I looked up with all the GM RPO codes was literally hundreds of combinations. Trim packages, brakes, axles, trans and so forth.

Oh ok....well like I said before the trans code should begin w/ an M (ex. MD8) but I'm not sure about the transfer case.

Since the trans pan has 16 bolts in a square shape, it's a 4L60E: M30

That transfercase tags says it's a NP246: NP8
