I am needing everyones help/opinion on this. I have this ol farm truck and i was wondering what everyone thinks I should do about the box. Personally I would like to go with the tool box and soft tonneul cover. I like the locking feature of the hard cover but idk about the look. I got a SkiDoo rev that lives in the bed during most of the winter so the A.R.E. gets taken off in Novemeber anyhow

Here's another pic all cleaned up before I put the new rubber on...

If that cover isn't too hard to take off and store, I'd stick with it. Soft covers only keep out the honest people. Your stuff in the bed is much more secure with the hard cover. If you go with a tool box, your toys won't fit in the bed!

EDIT. A camper shell would be uglier than a man's butt on that skinny bed truck. I wouldn't do that for sure. :uhoh:

Yeah I took the lid off last winter and packed it away up at my grandparents garage... I got thinking (which is a big step for me) if I were to go with the toolbox and soft cover how far back the sled would have to ride because I figured the ski's could probably fit quite a ways under the tool box... maybe not I don't know

Any of the options you presented would have looked fine but they'd all look better without the chrome bug guard!

You might as well take it off right now because we're relentless. Right, Jeffrey?

It was between that or one of the 7 inch flat ones that you used to see on the old chevy's and Internationals... lol

That's a nice lookin truck for a farm truck. My grandad's farm trucks were from the 50's and 60s and all rusted out. The engine was held in place with bungee chords, the oil cap was a paper towel, and the battery box was replaced with 2x4s. But man that straight 5 block could really pull. I'd love to get my hands on one of them and fix it up some day...

I'm a big fan of the toolbox idea in general, but I don't know how it would look on a skinny bed like that.
