Check your manual and determine what you tow capacity is, and go from there. How much does the trailer and car weigh? Just make sure that it is less then you tow capacity and you are good to go.

No problem at all!!!....I towed a Corvette on a Uhaul trailer last year with mine,Up through Fancy Gap mountain on I-77 in Va.

A Uhaul trailer has a GVWR of 6,000 lbs.,and it weighs 2,000 lbs.,so you can haul up to a 4,000 lb. vehicle with no issues..They also have surge brakes so you don't need an electric brake controller.

Don't worry with the hitch says. That is the rating number for hitch, not the tow vehicle. You should be fine as the trailer and vehicle will not be more then a few thousand pounds. Look in your manual for your truck and engine and rear end ratio and it will tell you what your max tow rating is.

I can't vouch for U-Haul's trailers, but I tow my Camaro with my 5.3 1/2 ton all over Texas and it works just great. Factory tow package/factory hitch.

Like others have said, check your owner's manual. Mine is rated for 7000lbs. max (iirc) and my trailer + car is well below that. A brake controller is a MUST have. Do Uhaul trailers have electric brakes? Or surge brakes?

edit: Just re-read MS3DALE's post, surge brakes on U-Haul....copy that!

Beware of uhaul, once rented their car trailer like you are talking about..... I watched the guy hook the trailer to my truck and still he did not tighteden their odd little ball coupler all the way, I thought he did because he cranked on it pretty good, im sure he thought he did as well. All was fine going down the road, but when we went to load my buddys car on the trailer it came off the ball mount jumped forward and right into the tailgate!!!! A lot of choice words later I got a refund from uhaul but was not happy to say the least. I dont trust them or their POS style hookups and will not go back. I do not however blame the guy that hooked it up because it was tight he just did not have it sitting just right i guess. Why cant they use one of the standard couplers that everyone else uses? not a spring loaded twist knob!

Heck yes! I can't get most of the normal features on the site to work at all
