Ported Maf

I got a ported Delphi ported maf from a family member. The truck is now running lean with a CEL. Will the computer readjust for the lean condition? I disconnected the battery and the CEL went out but then it came back on. I have put the original back on and it feels sluggish. I think the ported Maf helped with the CAI but if it's truly going to stay lean I can't keep it on there. Any suggestions?

+1, but clean your old one while you have it out. (spray the hell out of it with some MAF sensor cleaner, but DON'T touch any of the little wires.
