This will be my first topic I guess. I've had my 07Sierra since May2007. Anyways I am turning my truck into a mutt of sorts. Along with aftermarket mods it is a rare configuration, and now I have a Denali front bumper on it.

What I am wondering is will a Silverado HD hood line up with the fender lines on a 1500 Sierra?

They are the same width, as all the GMT900 fenders line up at the same place, but I have no clue if the rest of the hood would line up very well. I think that the HD hood would look killer on my truck, especially with the vents at the back.

Chevrolet and GMC hoods are very different up front. Look at the grille and lights on both and you'll see what I mean.

I can do body work and trim the front lip to fit, but it would be a nightmare to make the sides line up if they are on different curves/angles.

If you don't mind doing some work, I'd try swapping one and see how much work is there. Probably the only way you will ever know. I'm with you... I'll cut anything with a sawzall if I want it to work. It's only sheetmetal.

Hey thanks! Well I went on to GM media and brought up HI RES pictures of both trucks, the raised portion of the hood on the chevy is much wider than the sierra. it would probably look goofy when the hood didn't line up with the grille of the truck.

but gmc should make raised hoods with vent strakes on the HD sierra like the HD silverados have. i'd put it on my truck!

HERE ARE SOME OLD CELLPHONE PICS FROM LAST YEAR WHEN THE TRUCK WAS PRETTY MUCH BONE STOCK (HID's and K&N Intake).

I HAVE THE FRONT OF IT TORN APART IN THE GARAGE RIGHT NOW, GIVE ME A FEW DAYS AND I WILL POST PICS OF IT WITH THE NEW BUMPER AND HEADLIGHTS!!!
