Ok, I Will Ask - Console Question

I am like all men I guess, try to stay away from the manuals. But even the manuals have not answered my question.

 

What are all the odd shaped compartments for in the lid and the bottom of the center console?

 

I am talking about the one in the bench seat models that flips up. One compartment in the lid I am fairly sure is for credit cards, but all the others have me stumped....One is the size of a garage remote, but it will not slide in the top....

 

 

If I need to post a photo, I can, but if you know the answer, you don't need a photo anyway now do you.....

I put business cards in the lid, the others have me stumped too. I thought they were odd shaped too when I started trying to stick stuff in them. I've also wondered if that divider is removable too.

The long narrow slots on either side are for pens and pencils - a nice touch! Mine used to go straight to the bottom where I had trouble finding them.
