Remote Start Time I Want To Increase It

Hi all!

This is my first post. I have a question on my remote start. I have an 08 Sierra.

It came with a factory remote start package. The distance was not long enough for me to start my vechile. So I upgraded to the next package. I had to take it to a back to the dealer to get installed there. They installed it fine. I got this huge remote it looks like a mini walky-talky. It tells me everything from tire pressures to how much gas I have to how many miles I have on the odometer. Things I really don't need. So when you use the remote start it will stay started for ten minutes and I cannot adjust that to more time. I asked the dealer if they can increase the time but the said "They don't know." So here is the question (finally) How can I increase the time? Thanks for your time!!

It will only run 10 min a time .You get 20 min total 2 times with the remote then start it by the key.No adiustment with this .

Other than resorting to an aftermarket system... ^^^^^^ what bubba said

Yep, what they said. Two 10 minute remote start times. Other than going to an aftermarket system, that is the best you'll get.

Start it and it runs for 10 min, then shuts off. Start it again and it will run another 10 min if you do not put the key in the ignition and turn it over then it will shut off and you will have to then start it with the Key! Are you having problems with it not heating or Cooling with in the 10 mins??

remote start the truck, then before it dies, do it again, each time you do it it adds 10 minutes to the timer

True, but you can only do that once...ie total of 20 minutes.

Living in N.E. Ohio it gets pretty cold up here and 10 min just not enough time, I want my truck so it's toasty warm we I get in. If I could I would like to leave the setting to 20 min everytime I start it. Is there any adjustment I can do besides using the remote twice? Thanks for all your replies!!

If your truck isn't warm in 20 minutes,,you need to get it worked on,, even at 20 below it should be warm by then,,DAve

I'd figure that somebody crafty with the TechII could manage it.
