I guess that is what I get for being on vacation, I have not watched or read about the news (too depressing for vacation)

Just got off the phone with a friend who works there after reading this.

He says they say that if they do not get the funding from the government they may idle once

every product cycle and go back to building on demand.

Now that would not be good as how many months would one wait for a vehicle. Also look for them

he says rumors are they are cutting the lines of vehicles that have not experienced a growth in the

last model year.

I said so they are not going to sell nothing and he said that is what they were all thinking but in reality

he says they believe those that were not growing before the downturn.

Yeah,I heard this part back in the summer time...they are dropping certain models like the Magnum and the Pacifica (Which I think they already dropped)

Silver Lining: almost everybody would have a factory fresh vehicle

This is not good for anybody.

Friday will be a sad day for the USA.

I hope things shake out quick and the economy comes back soon. Where does it end? I think it is going to get worse before it gets better. :ughdance:

I agree somewhat. I think Mr Obama's first year is going to be a rough one. I bet we come out of the other end doing good though.

Sad article

Very sad day, and entirely predictable. Over taxed, over regulated, nuisance lawsuits, union labor strangle hold, and a nationwide populace that does not want change from above mentioned conditions. This will be a test for our new "Change" president and I hope he passes.

The solution is not government sponsored, tax supported bureaucracy, it is a return to the old school free enterprise concept.

Let the companies hire and fire who they want and offer a wage scale they can afford to pay and if you can't live with that, better yourself.

I'll admit it just this once, Chrysler, Ford, (and naturally GM) already make a great product that sells well. They just can't afford their staff anymore and their profits are taxed to oblivion.
