norsemanberg Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 Where can i get a module that will let me keep my low beams on when i have the highs on. Also will it allow me to keep my fog light on too? One other thing, how are gel cells in the cold?
GasHog369 Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 www.mrtaillight.com I put this kit in my truck 2 years ago and it still works great! keeps lows / highs / fogs on!
BuckFeverZ Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 You can do it a lot cheaper than buying that kit. It involves using jumper wires and diodes. I'll see if I can find a thread on it.

GasHog369 Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 True , you could mess around with your own wiring / diodes / relays / fuses / etc.... or you could spend a couple bucks more, get a kit that is meant for this application , guaranteed to work , and looks professional Im all for cheap mods , but seriously the price of this kit, i believe i paid $20 back when i did it, is worth every penny. comes with everything you need including instructions.
blankey Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 If you're interested in doing it yourself without the kit just search for "high 4". I've done the diode way almost a year ago and haven't had any problems.
gave20 Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 The Diode method costs about 20 cents and can be found here with diagrams. headlight mod By the way it took me 2 minutes hook up.
killterrorists Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 Well I will never buy anything from mrtaillight.com ever again they failed to send me half of my order and refused to do anything about it. Shure they have good prices but if you only get half of what you order what's the point?

This a great mod to do. There are also kits sold that allow you to do the same thing. I have the painless kits on both my trucks and they work great.
05silvycrew Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 just did the 6 hi headlight mod (fogs, lows, highs) with 2 diodes. cost $3 ($1 for the diodes, $2 for the heat shrink) http://www.fullsizechevy.com/forums/genera...t-mod-03-a.html super easy and takes litterally less than 10 minutes to complete, and the difference is amazing. this also saved my truck from an unfortunate run-in with three deer the very night I did it. you can wire it so that you have an 8-hi (fogs, lows, hi's, and DRLs) but I haven't ventured that far. read all the pages if you're interested.
