There was a double post because of one of the damn 500 errors. The hook/loops are off of a M998 HMMWV or Hummer.

D rings are awesome. Very cool!

Yes, Yes I do. Its all the damn salt they use on the roads up here. Is that stuff spay on or brush on?

 

 

Brush on. I've got some sitting in the garage that will be going on when it warms up. Pulling the bed off and stripping the rear of the frame completely, and going to try to do my best up front (the cab is a little harder to pull off :P).

you wouldn't believe how weak the GMT-800 hooks are i have broken at LEAST 10 of them.... 3 in one week..

 

you have to hook on the frame... and last year i was pulling a Silverado out of the snow and i tore a 4" gash in the frame in the double layer and had to pay to get it fixed..... sometimes you cant get to the frame all that easy or requires a lot of digging when your on the side of the road its a lot easier and faster to try the "tow hooks" first..

 

i didn't pull out a NBS this year so i wouldn't be able to tell you.. i do know they are VERY hard to put in the ditch especially with stability / traction control..

 

btw this is from my dads wreckers not my pickup..

Nope, i pull a lot of people out of ditches and when i installed my grill guard my OEM tow hooks had to be removed.
