i went to dealer and had my lights aimed but tonight on way to work they seem too low! now i cant see but maybe 30-40 feet of pavement directly infront instead of down the road. how do i adjust them myself? i thought there was a device to attach that has a bubble level.

Section 5 (5-58 to be exact) of of my 2008 owners manual has the aiming procedure. Look in the index under headlight aiming.

+1, there's I think a torx screw on top of the headlight housing.

I think it's actually a torx head, but it sounds like an allen will do in a pinch.

I just re-adjusted mine after the lift. A philips head screwdriver will work fine. I just did it in the dark so i could see exactly where i was aiming them. Its very easy, the screw is right up top of the lights.

Good luck!

Quick way would be turn the lights on something flat, like a garage door, find the adjusting screw and raise them evenly up on the wall. Go out and test, if you don't like it find another wall and adjust. We did this method on my buddy's old k5, just make sure there not to high or you'll be getting the finger alot.

The owners manual does exactly what you described but gives a distance from the wall and a height to adjust and measure.

I realized that, the last time we did it we did'nt have an owners manual :( I guess this being a new truck that won't be a problem.
