I'm no stranger to forums, however since I purchased my Chevy I have been looking for a good GM truck forum and finally came across this one. This looks like a great place to get some good information! My truck has some basics, Rhino liner, Truxedo bed cover, step bars, window visors and a bug guard, nothing special. Look forward to learning more about the GMT900.

Welcome to the site :uhoh:

Nice truck :uhoh:

I JUST got on board, HOPE this will be a good site to come to!

My stats are: 1.- 100,000 mile '96 454 Vortec Crew Cab Duallie [white/red int], lowered with Bell Tech spindles, hangers, Firestone bags in rear;Alcoa Wheels,Leer clear-vue shell;Goodmark hood;Doug Thorley tri-Wye Headers;K&N filters; NEVER had a problem with this truck[except when it was cold down here this year-at start up, idle speed would rise and fall more than the stock market!;when cold CD wouldn't play; That is, until 2 weeks ago when i filled up to go to Sebring for the race, and it was very cold, and it popped, and back-fired[always use BP fuel from same station], it never has recovered! Even now that is is warmer, i tried messin' with it[i know, i shouldn't!] I removed EGR harness, and it ran better, but of course, the "Check Engine" came on. disconn. battery, plugged in harness, light went out, but it was bucking again. i found 17" inches of vacuuum-someone said this was normal, but every good engine i ever built[except race engines] had a minmum of 20".22" was common. Now i NEED the plastic elctronic module that controls vacuum from EVAP cannister to intake---you can guess what i did!!!!

I have Vettes for toys, duallies pull them.
