Painted Grill

Hey all, I've been playing around with ideas to improve the looks of my truck. My brother-in-law is really good friends with a body & paint guy I'm thinking of having my door & tail gate handles painted all red to match the truck as well as the grill. I'm also considering having the bumper facia painted black instead of gray. I whipped up a really, and I mean really quick photoshop of what I'm considering for the front end. And yes I suck with photoshop but you will get the idea. here is a before and the proposed after. If anyone is really good with photoshop and wants to redo, it have at it. Let me know what you think.

I think that looks pretty good, but if you're going to the handles and bumper, I would also paint the top bumper cap along with the mirrors to complete the look.

I was considering that. I was thinking of doing the bumper cap black to match the lower valance. and maybe just the mirror caps in red instead of the whole mirror. I think if the whole mirror is red and the bumper cap and valance were red it would be just to much red.

I think the red top bumper cap would really carry over the look of the grill shell more so than the black. As far as the mirrors, You could get chrome mirror covers and paint the rest of it red. That would look great IMO.

How about leaving the center bar with the bowtie chrome and go ahead and paint the grill shell part.

I was thinking of doing something similar with my 03 Silverado. I want chrome mesh with the rest of the shell dark grey metallic. GM makes an accessory grille in all chrome, victory red, and black. Anybody know which would be the best to use to paint grey?

I think the truck would look great with the cap painted red, along with everything else... the more body coloured everything is the more i like it!

I like option 2 better other than the mirrors. For mirrors Im with Scott, paint the whole mirror and get a chrome cap.

I was thinking of getting the second one, but I can get the grill, door handles, tailgate handle, mirror caps, valance and bumper cap painted for for less than half that price.

Of the two, I like option 2 better. I still think if you got chrome mirror covers and painted the rest of the mirror red, that would look sweet. If I had PS I'd do it for ya but I don't.

I like both options. Looks sort of SS like to me. I think the red bowtie along with everything else red is a bit much. I'd do a billet bowtie. Just my 0.02
