Lots Of Tuneup And Fluid Change Questions

Ok, I have done some marginal research this week. I was planning on doing more research and then a lot of work on my truck this weekend. Well family emergency has come up and the wife and I will be leaving as soon as she gets off work around 5 to go out of town.

So tomorrow after I get done with a meeting at work at 10, I will have to be done by 4 or so before we leave.

Tomorrow on Thursday I plan on doing this to my 5.3 z71 ext cab (No G80);

Mobil 1, AC delco filter.

Drop tranny pan, change filter, and maybe try and pump extra fluid out.

Change diff fluid

Change transfer case fluid

Change rear end fluid.

Regrease my slip Yoke

Seam Foam the crap out of it.

I have the oil, and oil filter. Bought 2 cans of Sea Foam, and one can of Deep Creep. I already have half a can in the gas tank, and the other half in the oil. Will put on about 50 miles on it before I start doing everything tomorrow. I will be using the other can for sucking it in through the brake vacuum line. (and yes I will be changing the oil after all of this)

At my local O'reilys auto part store, they carry a transmission filter/gasket kit made by Pioneer, for like 16 bucks. Is there a brand for this that I should be looking for, or staying away from. I've never done a tranny filter change before.

Also which tranny fluid am I suppose to be using in my 4l60. It has 80K miles on it. I know GM came out with the Dex 6 or whatever. Am I suppose to use that?

For my transfer case which is the correct fluid and can I get the correct one from an auto parts store? Or do I have to go GM.

Same thing for my rear end?

And for packing my slip yoke with grease, I know I need a thick water proof grease. Not sure where I will get it yet. (hope auto parts store). But how exactly do I do this. From what I read, I need to remove the 4 bolts at the back of the drive shaft, and then I can slide out the shaft from the transfercase? And from there I will be able to see the splines where I put the grease? Expect any fluid to come out?

Also I have read I have to mark some thing so they line back up. I'm not sure I understand this.

I really appreciate the help. I know I could do more searching, but this will really make it easy to keep track of since I am in a big rush to get this all done. I appreciate any advice and tips you have.

I'll be back in the morning, before my meeting. Thanks guys.

For the transfer case, you'll need GM Autotrac 2 fluid which is blue.

And you'll probably need a transfer pump of some sort. I just did the case fluid in a Bravada and just bought a cheap $7 unit From harbor Freight. Worked well and I'm good for 3 or 4 more years.

With the rear end and trans, GM now says to use Dexron 6 IIRC which is synthetic. Parts stores have it at about $6+ per quart. Rear end gear oil also may need to be synthetic at some higher cost.
